Lady Gaga returned on a high note on Friday when she unveiled the cinematic music video for her new single Hold My Hand.

The inspirational ballad, which is featured in the upcoming Tom Cruise sequel Top Gun: Maverick, features the 36-year-old singer–songwriter tickling the ivories on an air field while jets race overhead.

The hitmaker showcased her stunning figure in the video, which features numerous clips from the new film and the 1986 original.

Gaga’s new video opens with footage from both the original Top Gun and its sequel showing jets cruising balletically through the sky.

She’s seen in stately black-and-white as she leans against the landing gear of what appears to be a Grumman F-14 Tomcat fighter aircraft, which was featured in the films.

The hitmaker dressed casually in a bra-free white cropped tank top that showcased a hint of her taut tummy.

She covered the modest top up with an unbuttoned bomber jacket.

The song takes a somber tone as Cruise is seen cradling his fallen friend Goose (Anthony Edwards), while Gaga’s lyrics match the mood.

‘To tell me you need me? I see that you’re bleedin’ / You don’t need to show me again / But if you decide to, I’ll ride in this life with you / I won’t let go ’til the end,’ she sings as Cruise floats with his friend’s dead body in the sea.

As the song’s crunchy guitars kick in, Gaga is transported to an airfield, where she pounds away at a piano as the golden sun begins to set.

She blocks out the piercing sun with a set of aviator sunglasses and lets her long blond locks swirl messily in the breeze across her face.

As Hold My Hand transitions into its more muted second verse, the footage switches back to black-and-white and shows Gaga in closeup in a hangar with her flight jacket and aviators back on.

She caresses a set of dog tags dangling from her throat as the video shows a clip from Maverick showing what appears to be one of Cruise’s flight students crashing their jet into a hill, creating a massive fireball.

But Hold My Hand takes its most upbeat turn in the second chorus, as Gaga is unveiled on top of the piano in the middle of the runway and a jet flies past at low altitude, with its loud scream prominent in the clip.

Gaga wears her flight jacket over a stunning sheer white dress with a long train and strands that ripple behind her in the wind.

She and the dress appeared to have cables holding them down to the piano and preventing them from being blown away by the industrial-strength fans just out of view.

The Hold My Hand video ends as Gaga strolls down the runway in dress and jacket, which is augmented by a quick montage of emotional Top Gun clips.

The single was written and produced by Gaga and Bloodpop, and the cinematic music video was appropriately directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also helms Top Gun: Maverick.

Gaga and Cruise have been going all in on promoting the new film and her song for it.

Earlier this week, the action icon dropped by her Jazz & Piano show in Las Vegas, and they put up backstage after the show.

‘Thank you for coming to the show last night. I love you my friend @tomcruise,’ Gaga captioned photos of the two giving each other a peck on the cheek.

Cruise reprise his role as the ace fighter pilot Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell in the latest film, but he has given up his days as a star flyer in favor of training the next generation of pilots.

The hotly anticipated sequel, which also features Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller, Glen Powell and an appearance from original actor Val Kilmer, opens in theaters on May 27.
