Prince Harry’s ‘thorny’ relationship with his stepmother Camilla, Duchess of Cornwallmay prevent him from attending Prince Charles’ future coronation, a new report claims.
The Duke of Sussex is allegedly ‘refusing’ to join the royal family at the historic coronation if Camilla will be made Queen consort, as is Her Majesty’s wish, Private Eye reports.
Despite the Queen giving her blessing for Camilla to be known as Queen consortthe publication claims Harry won’t be able to stomach the duchess standing “a few feet” away from where his mother Princess Diana’s coffin once stood.

“Harry has no intention of attending his father’s coronation if Camilla is to be anointed and crowned just a few feet from where his mother’s coffin lay in Westminster Abbey,” the report states.
“Brenda [the publication’s nickname for Her Majesty] may haven given her blessing to Camilla becoming Queen consort, but Harry refuses to bend.”
Princess Diana’s casket was taken from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey after her death on August 31where he stayed until his funeral on September 6.
It was later taken to the Spencer family home in Northamptonshire, with her final resting place on island in an ornamental lake on the grounds of Althorp Park.

Harry’s tense relationship with Camilla is speculated to have hit fever pitch after the Queen announced her desire for the Duchess of Cornwall to be made Queen Consort.
According to royal author Tina Brown, Harry “can’t stand” Camilla and is planning on targeting her in his upcoming memoir.
“Harry, on the other hand, can’t stand Camilla. He doesn’t want Camilla to be queen,” she said of their relationship.
“He’s very angry that it’s happening. He has not made his peace with it and he probably never will.”
Harry has never publicly commented on the news that Camilla would be known as Queen consort.
His silence “speaks volumes”, one royal source told The Sun.

To mark her Platinum Jubilee in February, Queen Elizabeth shared a shock announcement confirming Camilla will be known as “Queen Consort” upon Charles’ coronation in the future.
In a statement released by Sandringham Housethe Queen said her son Charles will step up to be King “in the fullness of time” and said it was her “sincere wish” that Camilla would be known as Queen Consort.
“I remain eternally grateful for, and humble by, the loyalty and affection you continue to give me,” the Queen said in her statement. “And when, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla that same support that you have given me.”
She continued: “And it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service.”
