It appears that the Wagner Group, a private army of mercenaries, has shot down one of the most advanced Russian attack helicopters in the Voronezh region.
Images posted online June 24 show the resulting wreckage, which has been identified as a Ka-52 “Alligator” Alligator attack helicopter with serial number RF-13418 and port number 72 yellow.
The attack helicopter was shot down during a clash between the Russian regular army and Wagner’s mercenary forces near the village of Talovaya in the Voronezh region. Rescuers found two bodies at the crash site.
As Russian analyst Ilya Tumanov confirmed on his influential Fighterbomber channel, the Russian armed forces have already lost at least six helicopters and one plane in one day.
