South African-based Milkor has unveiled a prototype of its Medium Altitude Long Distance Combat Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) (MALE). The Milkor UCAV has been designed from the ground up to be a multi-role airborne platform suitable for surveillance, intelligence gathering and attack operations. The system features multiple capabilities including but not limited to autonomous flight, landing and takeoff, abundant control and communications, line-of-sight (LOS) and beyond line-of-sight (BLOS) communication, Satcom support and more.
The Milkor 380 is designed for operational versatility while achieving flight, takeoff and landing through the onboard flight control system. The control system featuring track position and idling pattern ensures the simplification and success of complex tasks.
Milkor 380 properties
• 30,000 feet and 35+ hours of endurance.
