The United States deploys stealth F-22 fighters in the Middle East due to the behavior of Russian aircraft (video)

The US military on Wednesday announced the deployment of F-22 fighter jets to the Middle East this week, citing concerns about the “unsafe and unprofessional behavior” of Russian jets.

Footage of four US Air Force F-22 Raptors at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan was released, the aircraft deployed to the area on June 9 “in the wake of increasingly unsafe and unprofessional behavior by the aircraft.” Russia in the region.

The F-22s deployed to Jordan were armed with (at least) two AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air missiles. Besides the F-16s are armed with AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air missiles, GBU-39/B small diameter bombs, and GBU-38(?) JDAMs.
