The United States sends M142 HIMARS High Mobility Missile Systems to Syria

The Anadolu Agency reported, quoting local sources, that the United States has sent a shipment of M142 HIMARS high-mobility missile systems to Syria. According to the Anadolu Agency, quoting local sources.

M142 HIMARS missiles have reinforced the US deployment in Deir Ezzor Governorate. It is located east of the Euphrates River and is controlled by the People’s Self-Defense Units (YPG/PKK). The launch pads have also reached the Al-Omar field and the Conoco gas station.

The United States decided to transfer the M142 HIMARS to Syria to reinforce its forces and counter attacks by Iranian-backed groups. It is located on the back side of the Euphrates River.

The US military was attacked several times by Iranian drones. For example, about two months ago, a drone bombed a facility in eastern Syria. The United States responded with F-15E Strike Eagle fighters.
