The commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant-General Mykola Oleshuk, said on his Telegram channel on May 3 that a squadron of IRIS-T systems has destroyed more than 60 hostile air targets over Ukraine since its delivery in October 2022.

The IRIS-T SLX system is currently being developed with a further increase in performance to a range of up to 80 km and an altitude of 30 km.
