The Turkish company, ASELSAN, is preparing to produce TOLUN small diameter bombs for F-16 fighter jets and other platforms such as the Akıncı drone.
This bomb test was successfully conducted using a Turkish Air Force F-16 fighter jet and a Bayraktar Akıncı combat unmanned aerial vehicle (UCAV).
TOLUN was developed as an INS / GPS guided munition. The bomb is launched from an aerial platform with INS/GPS guidance against hard and soft ground targets.
With a range of up to 100 km (62 mi), TOLUN has a variety of fragmentation penetrating warheads.
ASELSAN is also developing a smart quadrupole carrier for the Small Diameter Bomb project.
With this mount, the F-16 can carry four small diameter bombs under its wings. This will give it game-changing capabilities by simultaneous engagement of multiple targets.
Previously at the 2023 Paris Air Show, ASELSAN exhibited the TOLUN Small Diameter Bomb, the TOLUN IIR Small Diameter Guided Bomb, the SADAK-4T Smart Quadruple Carrier, as well as the GÖZDE and LGK-82 Guide Kits.
The company also displays ammunition, avionics and photovoltaic products designed for aerial platforms.
